Devlog 2


This week we focused on solidifying ideas for overall game theme/tone, environment ideas, puzzle ideas, and mechanics with the entire team.

Mechanics/Features worked on this week were:

  • Fan and wind system
  • Interactable wires that cause environment changes
  • Bunsen Burner forced state switch mechanic
  • Pushing around items in solid state form
  • Energy system that determines how many times/to which state a player can switch

Challenges:

  • Game design and figuring out what we want this game to look and play like. 
  • Creating mechanics for puzzles without having a complete picture of what those puzzles will look like.
  • Physics/Movement mechanics and how we want the player to interact with different pieces in the environment.
